I recognize that Specialized Knowledge of the BFS, our products and most importantly what makes people tick will propel me as a leader. The discipline of running The System allows me to be competent in building a successful and abundant business and for that I am grateful."
Week #3
Well once again this week was not what I pictured it would turn out to be; funny how that happens:) I discovered two things. First, that when it comes to knowing the ins and outs of all the solutions we have available for our clients I will never know it all. I learned to welcome each individual case as a opportunity to learn something new in my field of finances as the need presents its self. I also feel I am beginning to understand Henry Ford's point of view when he talks about not filling your head with information that is unneccessary. Why would I fog up my mind when I have product providers who work for me that can give me the answers when I need them? As people it is so easy to lose focus on our goals and get foggy. We need to have clarity about our goals and then do everything in our power to keep laser focused on our highest vision!!! Secondly, my understanding of people deepened this week. I began watching The Biggest Loser for the first time in the last few weeks. This show has strengthened my belief that people out there are hurting and they need all of the love and support that they can get. As humans we tend to look outside of ourselves to find the answers to our unhappiness. When what we need to do is look inside of ourselves to awaken our happiness! There is a lack of self love, a lack of self acceptance and a lack of belief that we deserve to be happy on our planet. As I am growing into a leader of leaders, I recognize the desperate need the world has for more leaders.

Raising Our Awareness - INTEGRITY
INTEGRITY: "I am a woman body, mind & soul who values my Integrity. As I make agreements with self and others, I am empathetic with myself as I learn to be impeccable with my words, and release excuses. My schedule keeps me well composed."
Week #2
This week was very revealing in many ways. I thought this would be an easy focus for me but as I discovered I have some issues with "Being told what to do." When I began this week, I thought it would be as simple as scheduling the next 7 days and then sticking to my word. Man was I wrong! Almost from the moment I planned out my week I felt resistence. My excuse was "I don't like being told what to do," (which I have used on my husband more than a few times :)....And I used this excuse to defy my schedule. The question is WHY? Well, I believe that everything happens perfectly in every moment to move me forward towards my highest vision. That is why it was no coincidence that I was reading, The Birth Order Book by Kevin Leman this week. What I realized was that I have unrealistic expectations for myself that are impossible to meet. I learned that I am way too hard on myself and I need to allow myself some flexibility in life. I have heard this advice before but as human beings we often need to be continuously reminded! We as people need to celebrate all of our successes, big and small, to allow ourselves to enjoy the journey. Integrity is about BEing your best in every moment, with the understanding that at times our best might be holding ourselves together during a tough time or it could be completing a mile run faster then we ever had before. Your best is all that you can ask for and deep down inside we all know when we are being our best. When you make an agreement with self or others there will be times when we need to re-negotiate our agreements. Hold yourself to a high standard but be flexible and gentle with yourself as your learning to do this.
One last epiphany I had during this week related a lot to my business. I share with families how to take control of their finances. I also encourage them to believe that they can manifest their dreams into reality by facing fears and taking action. An issue I come across quite often in my business is that people won't allow themselves to drop their pride, which stops them from achieving their dreams. I have been learning how to drop my pride the last year but this week I really opened myself up to let people know more about my real story. What I found was when I allowed myself to be vulnerable, authentic and transparent people were attracted to me. This lesson has been so valuable to me, it has given me insights that will support me in my ability to serve families more effectively. If I want others to lower their guards and take an objective view of their life then I first must be willing to do it! Give yourself permission to speak your truth, it will set you FREE!

Raising Our Awareness - LISTEN
LISTEN: "I am a woman body, mind & soul who is expanding my heart for others. I do this by first asking myself quality questions, because the more I know myself, the more I understand others. I listen with my heart wide open both to self and others. I do this easily because I genuinely care about people."
Week #1
The first thing I discovered this week is that although I consider myself to be a good listener, there is so much room for me to grow in this area. As I began to reflect on "listening" I realized that not only can I listen with my ears but I can also listen with my eyes and my heart. Listening with our ears is the obvious one of the three. Many times in the last 7 days I caught myself drifting off into my own thoughts as someone was speaking to me. By the end of the week I was quick to notice it and get back to engaging in what that person was saying. I recently heard Oprah on her farewell show say, that people just want to be validated, they want to be heard. During this short period of time, I noticed this often in others, whether it was in my business or family life. I was also aware of how I was feeling when I knew someone was not really listening to me. This simple realization begins to change how you interact with others in a positive way because you begin to understand how you make people feel when you give them 100% of your attention and when you don't. It was day 2 when I made the observation that my husband was speaking to me with his body language. I could hear with my eyes that something I had said had effected how he felt, and he didn't have to say a word. Pay close attention to how people respond to you through their body language, this will guide you to becoming the best YOU possible. As I tuned in on listening, I became tuned into what my body needed. Like a mother knows just what her baby needs without any words, I knew when I needed sleep, more water and even when my body needed protein. My mind told me when I had expelled all of my energy for the day. Our bodies know when we need to refuel, re-energize and reflect to get the best out of ourselves. Trust your body! It has only been in the last year that I began to understand what listening to my heart meant. We are all familiar with that little voice inside of us; some may describe it as a feeling rather than a voice. I believe this is my connection to (The Universe, The Source, GOD, The Higher Power), everyone has their own name for it. I acknowledge and value this connection as the compass to my destiny. Ever since I began to follow my heart, it's as if by magic my old wounds began to be healed. Now, I'm not saying it was easy, or that there was no pain along the way. Nor am I saying I am finished healing. However, it started me on a journey towards believing that I deserve to be happy and that I could achieve all of my dreams and goals. I can already see how this process is moving me towards my highest vision!

Raising Our Awareness
I believe that raising my awareness has lead me to the success I have in life right now. Everybody has accumulated a lifetime of experiences which has developed our perception of our own reality. As we move forward in life, naturally we will continue to have new experiences and as we have new experiences, both positive and negative they will effect how we perceive our world. We all have these stories that continue to cycle through our minds, some of these stories serve us and others keep us from our own happiness. As people we are all delusioned in different areas of our lives and until we are willing to drop our pride and take an honest look at ourselves, we cannot begin to let go of those old stories. Being wrong, making mistakes and having failures in our pursuit of happiness is all part of the process! My goal here is to share with you how being open to a higher level of awareness can serve your life and others, through sharing my own insights by applying a techinque from Benjamin Franklin. To explain it simply, I have chosen 13 areas in my life that I believe to be most important for me to continue to learn and grow throughout my lifetime. To list them quickly they are: (1)Listen (2)Integrity (3)Specialized Knowledge (4)Lighten Up (5)Belief (6)Spiritual Connection (7)Building Relationships (8)Vision (9)Intimacy (10)Service (11)Gratitude (12)Cleanliness (13)Enthusiasm. Each week will be a new focus, beginning with number one. Once I have cycled through all thirteen, then I will begin back at one which will allow me to focus on each topic four times each year. Benjamin Franklin has claimed this to be the key to his success!

Creating Excitement
Relationships......Let's talk about the relationship with our spouse/partner. Hung and I have been together for over 16 years and married for over 4 of those years. Sure, we find it a challenge at times to keep things exciting. Unfortunately for a lot of people it is easier to find someone new and exciting rather than create that within their committed relationship.
We realized that it had been a loooooong time since we went on a real date, and we had been talking about "Date Night" for a while but never took the action. Since we have been married we did make a tradition that every year on our anniversary we would travel somewhere and have a honeymoon. In September 2010 we decided to create a new tradition called "Date Night." Every month we have 2 nights picked out, and each of us get to plan one of those dates. We have been on 5 dates since then and it has been amazing!! It gives us a chance to really express our love for one another....it doesn't always have to cost alot of money either. If you really listen everyday to what your spouse says you will pick up on great ideas for dates, the element of surprise is EXCITING!!!

Design your own life
A great question to ask ourselves is: What do I want to create in my life? I believe we have all tried to create change in our lives or found ourselves in the middle of change that we had little or no control over. That is what Hung and I were experiencing back in December of 2007. We had an unsuccessful real estate business, a lost friendship and our finanaces were a challenge to say the least....And for over 2 years we spent the majority of our time wallowing in it! Through a learning technique called Belief Re-Patterning™ we released our past and became open to receiving abundance in all areas of our lives. Yes, it can be that simple!
