Raising Our Awareness - INTEGRITY

INTEGRITY: "I am a woman body, mind & soul who values my Integrity. As I make agreements with self and others, I am empathetic with myself as I learn to be impeccable with my words, and release excuses. My schedule keeps me well composed."

Week #2
This week was very revealing in many ways. I thought this would be an easy focus for me but as I discovered I have some issues with "Being told what to do." When I began this week, I thought it would be as simple as scheduling the next 7 days and then sticking to my word. Man was I wrong! Almost from the moment I planned out my week I felt resistence. My excuse was "I don't like being told what to do," (which I have used on my husband more than a few times :)....And I used this excuse to defy my schedule. The question is WHY? Well, I believe that everything happens perfectly in every moment to move me forward towards my highest vision. That is why it was no coincidence that I was reading, The Birth Order Book by Kevin Leman this week. What I realized was that I have unrealistic expectations for myself that are impossible to meet. I learned that I am way too hard on myself and I need to allow myself some flexibility in life. I have heard this advice before but as human beings we often need to be continuously reminded! We as people need to celebrate all of our successes, big and small, to allow ourselves to enjoy the journey. Integrity is about BEing your best in every moment, with the understanding that at times our best might be holding ourselves together during a tough time or it could be completing a mile run faster then we ever had before. Your best is all that you can ask for and deep down inside we all know when we are being our best. When you make an agreement with self or others there will be times when we need to re-negotiate our agreements. Hold yourself to a high standard but be flexible and gentle with yourself as your learning to do this.
One last epiphany I had during this week related a lot to my business. I share with families how to take control of their finances. I also encourage them to believe that they can manifest their dreams into reality by facing fears and taking action. An issue I come across quite often in my business is that people won't allow themselves to drop their pride, which stops them from achieving their dreams. I have been learning how to drop my pride the last year but this week I really opened myself up to let people know more about my real story. What I found was when I allowed myself to be vulnerable, authentic and transparent people were attracted to me. This lesson has been so valuable to me, it has given me insights that will support me in my ability to serve families more effectively. If I want others to lower their guards and take an objective view of their life then I first must be willing to do it! Give yourself permission to speak your truth, it will set you FREE!
